This COVID-19 in Enugu news has been confirmed in a statement from Dr Ifeanyi Agujiobi, the permanent secretary in the state’s ministry of health.
The permanent secretary reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has been informed of the suspected case of COVID-19 in Enugu, while a sample has been collected and sent for investigations.
According to him, it’s a case of a Lady who has been resident in the United kingdom for over five months and just returned to visit her son.
She has shown few symptoms of the pandemic disease and is currently being tested as the ministry awaits her result.
We hope she tests negative as COVID-19 in Enugu might be the second case recorded in Nigeria.
