I personally advise you to apply for internships in medium or small legal firms in your area of residence. Before you leave the firm, these law firms will ensure that you have learned everything you need to know.
Most top law firms don’t want to accept inexperienced interns. It’s important that you gain experience in a smaller law firm first before applying for an internship with a top firm.

You may only send your application through email if the firm has only one location or if you are certain that it will be sent to the correct location. If you’re not sure, just get a brown file. I don’t use the internet to apply for internships. In my opinion, submitting a paper copy of your CV and cover letter to the firm is more professional.

I normally make a phone call to the firm’s secretary. After that, you will be informed as to why your application was not responded to, and it will be responded to as soon as feasible.
